Pages Books on Kensington, often known as Calgary Literary Meeting Place, presents an evening of readings by local authors including the Calgary Distinguished Writer’s Program’s Writer-in-Residence, Deborah Willis and Author/Journalist/Green Party Candidate, Chris Turner.
Located in the heart of the Kensington Village shopping and entertainment district, Pages is Calgary’s literary meeting place. We offer over 10,000 titles in stock at any given time and, through our special order service, we can access most North American titles in print. Our booksellers are all avid readers – they can help you track down that volume you need, suggest a book for your child’s birthday present, suggest titles for your book club, or simply get you a great book to read on a quiet Sunday afternoon.
Our reading series goes year-round, offering the latest Calgary writers, as well as those from across Canada and around the world. Check out our upcoming events calendar to keep on top of what’s happening “upstairs at the bookstore”.
Over the years we have hosted some of the best writers and most interesting people around including David Suzuki, Louis de Bernieres, Timothy Findley, Rohinton Mistry, LGEN. Romeo Dallaire, Vikram Seth, Carol Shields, Pierre Berton, M.G. Vissanji, Terry O’Reilly, Linden MacIntyre, Thomas Pynchon, Yann Martel, Stuart McLean, Annabel Lyon, and many others.
