A mini-exhibition of contemporary craft arts.

The Alberta Craft Council’s mandate is to promote, develop and advocate for fine craft in Alberta. The Council is the largest Provincial Arts Service Organization, Edmonton’s second largest public gallery and western Canada’s largest craft organization.

The Council annually coordinates 20+ exhibitions (engaging more than 200 artists) of contemporary craft, in Calgary, Edmonton, around the province and nationally or internationally. Directly,

through the retail gallery or indirectly, through other projects, the Council markets members’ work. The retail gallery is the best venue for a wide selection of original fine craft from handcrafted pottery, blown-glass, jewellery, home accessories and furniture. Through a wide range of member services and awareness projects, including the Alberta Craft Magazine, website and social media, awards, advisory committee, partnerships, referrals and networking, publications and communication, advertising, advocacy and other activities, the Craft Council actively develops this professional craft arts sector.
