Join us on August 18 for an all-ages street party at sPark!
No, not TELUS Spark – sPark, short for “street park”, is a City of Calgary initiative that has temporarily transformed 10th St SW (between 6th and 7th Ave in Downtown West) into a vibrant public gathering space.
C’mon down with friends and family to enjoy an outdoor afternoon in this exciting community space, and meet a bustling crowd of friendly Calgarians!
Starting at 12:30 pm, Delirium SPB will bring some big brass party tunes to the street. At 2:00 pm, the folks from Toe Tappin’ Swing will offer a swing dance class! Then, at 3:00 pm, Ceroc will be on-site for a demo of some jive / salsa fusion.
There’ll also be a “Before I Die…” blackboard, a sand painting, wandering SteamPunks, board games and more family-friendly fun!
Want to be involved? Drop an e-mail to Mark Hopkins at firstname.lastname@example.org with your idea!
We Should Know Each Other at sPark!
